Case study: The Andela Talent Marketplace, powered by Shortlist

Andela invests in Africa’s most talented software engineers. The Andela Learning Community (ALC) is an initiative by Andela that offers online learning opportunities to young professionals in software development and other technical roles.

In 2019 we partnered with Andela to launch the Andela Talent Marketplace, powered by Shortlist. Hosted on the Shortlist platform, the Talent Marketplace connects ALC graduates and Andela alumni with full-time roles at leading employers in Kenya and Nigeria. Learn more about the program here.

Case study: The Off-Grid Talent Initiative

In 2019 Shortlist was selected by DFID and the Carbon Trust to lead the Off-Grid Talent Initiative, which supports the growth of off-grid renewable energy companies across Africa by increasing the pool of young talent interested in careers in clean energy.

For the ongoing campaign, Shortlist launched a multi-channel engagement strategy to educate young professionals about careers in clean energy, screened candidates for roles including sales, customer service, finance and engineering, and placed talent in entry-level roles at over 25 clean energy companies across nine countries. Case study: Data Science Talent Marketplace, powered by Shortlist

Shortlist is partnering with GreyAtom, an ed-tech company that has changed the way technology can be learned. They provide an enriching ecosystem through mentor-led and practice centered courses and through their online proprietary GLabs platform.

GreyAtom is skilling learners in areas of emerging tech – Data Science, AI, machine learning, NLP, Computer Visions and Front-end web development thereby helping them get in-demand jobs. Shortlist has partnered with them as a technology and employment-matching provider for the Talent Marketplace. With this partnership we hope to bridge the emerging tech talent gap.
