Who is the Head of Credit at Sistema.bio?

Reporting to the Global CFO and East Africa Managing Director, you will be responsible for managing the credit portfolio by structuring, implementing and systematizing the credit processes for Sistema.bio in line with the best practices of the rural microfinance sector.

You’ll be in charge of:

• Developing and managing all the credit processes and strategies.
• Undertaking credit appraisals based on the company’s acceptable risk levels.
• Building a strong collaborative credit culture across different teams.
• Reviewing, developing and implementing policies and guidelines on the customer credit cycle.
• Leading strategic projects around the automation and scale of the company’s credit processes.
• Training and coaching the credit team.

More about You!

• You are a Bachelors or Masters graduate preferably in Economics, Business Administration or Commerce.
• You have at least 8+ years of experience in credit, recovery, micro-credit or risk management.
• You are a self-starter and have a strong track record of planning and execution.
• You have strong oral and written communication skills in English and Swahili.
• You have experience and affinity with lending in the agricultural sector.
• You have excellent MS office skills.
