Shortlist hires using a data and research-driven methodology, that affects the hiring process right from understanding the role as well as the hiring manager to in-depth research of the talent pool, creating a digital obstacle course of assessments for candidates using our technology-enabled platform to finally screening candidates to ensure that only the most relevant candidates are shared with our clients. 

About the Role

Join Shortlist as a UI Designer for a rewarding experience owning design on multiple products used by over 1,000,000 young professionals and over 500 companies across the globe! Work across UI/UX and create excellent work filled with empathy. Spend the day with the product geeks and techies of the company, while bonding with the team. We use Sketch and InVision to create and share designs.

Roles & Responsibilities: 

• Work in lockstep with product managers to understand business needs and bring requirements to life. You will help bring personality to our products by designing cool solutions on the web and mobile!
• Collaborate closely with the tech teams to understand technical challenges and deliver projects within agreed-upon scope.
• Carry out user research - learn about competitors, keep up to date with the newest design trends and get a deeper understanding of our users.
• Actively contribute to each stage of the product development process - think through features, build user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and handover final designs to the tech team for development
• Create compelling visual designs with a strong focus on human-centered design and follow an iterative design approach based on feedback
• Actively test features pre and post-launch with users to validate design decisions 
• Experience and willingness to take on multiple projects at a time - we’re a small but hungry team willing to do what it takes to get features in the hands of our users!
• A keen attention to detail
• Coordinate with internal teams across our offices in India and Kenya

Nice to have:

• Prior experience in designing web & mobile applications.
• Exposure to either B2B & B2C products.
• Experience designing technology related products.

• Initiative taker and fast learner - ready to come in and own design on product features 
• Some technical knowledge is a plus but not required
