Brand Intern - Uganda

Job description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  •     Assists brand team in building annual operating plan through data gathering and analysis
  •     Collaborates with internal and external strategic business partners to develop joint marketing strategies and plans; oversee implementation and monitors results
  •    Coordinate and execute advertising and promotions that support and are consistent with group marketing and brand goals and objectives
  •    Tracks, analyzes and communicates program/campaign performance
  •     Recommends action plans to address variances against plans
  •     Applies consumer insights and understanding of marketplace dynamics to assist in developing brand plans as well as drive execution
  •     Gather competitor insights
  •      Be the key liaison with suppliers of branded collateral
  •      Ensure internal teams are aligned and communications are disseminated on time

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Key Result Areas/ Key Performance Indicators (5-6 areas) Key result areas (KRAs) broadly define the job profile for the employee and enable them to have better clarity of their role. KRAs should be well-defined, quantifiable, and easy to measure. It also helps employees to align their role with that of the organization.

  •     Successful in-store roll-out of campaigns
  •     Collect campaign performance data and give feedback
  •      Conduct monthly brand audits
  •     Assist in project management (brand collateral fit-outs)
  •      Ensure all collateral produced is brand legal
  •     Ensuring all branches have POS material before launch date
  •      Produce weekly reports with insights on how we can improve
  •     Report on brand issues in a timely fashion for quick resolution

Job specifications:

Qualifications

  •     Degree or Diploma (CIM) in marketing
  •      Strong communication skills
  •      Proficient in Microsoft office
  •      Organized, with ability to priorities time sensitive assignments
  •      Creative and flexible
  •     Strong analytical, communicating and interpersonal skills

SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

  • Flexibility to work on weekends, holidays and evenings where necessary
