Job description

The Environment Associate role is designed to tackle general environmental issues and specific departmental initiatives, focusing on the development, implementation, and oversight of environmental programs within the Nutraceutical industry. This includes the creation of innovative solutions for beauty, skincare, and overall wellness while incorporating sustainability into all aspects of product development and corporate operations.


General Responsibilities (Role A):

  • Policy Implementation: Develop and enforce environmental policies that align with regulations. Key areas include waste reduction, energy and water conservation, pollution prevention, sustainable procurement, and biodiversity conservation.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous testing and quality control throughout the product development phases to ensure the safety and efficacy of all products.
  • Compliance and Monitoring: Regularly assess compliance with environmental regulations and implement corrective measures as needed. This involves environmental audits and the integration of industry best practices.
  • Community Engagement: Promote environmental education and engage with the community to foster awareness and collaborative efforts towards sustainability.
  • Continuous Improvement: Evaluate and enhance environmental practices based on performance metrics and feedback, aiming for ongoing improvements in sustainability.


Specific Responsibilities (Role B) – Nutraceutical Industry:

  • Product Development: Assist in the creation of minimum viable products utilizing agricultural waste, focusing on environmental health. This includes briquettes and organic recycling projects.
  • Quality Control: Develop standards and procedures to ensure the quality of new products, including training manuals and quality assessment protocols.
  • Training and Education: Conduct both physical and virtual training sessions according to the organization’s schedule, emphasizing environmental stewardship.


Qualifications:

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field, with a Master's preferred. Experience in environmental compliance and a solid understanding of regulatory standards are essential.
  • The candidate should possess strong analytical abilities, effective communication skills, and proficiency in project management and environmental software tools.


This position demands a proactive approach, with a focus on enhancing environmental performance across the company’s operations and contributing to the broader goals of sustainability and environmental responsibility.
