Job description

  • Supervising sales staff [KAR] by guiding, support and manage change, motivating and monitor performance and dictate tasks accordingly, also identify needs for sales skills improvement.
  • Communicate sales needs and manage the reciprocal relationship between organization and the client’s needs and tailor made request so that each is successful.
  • Managing sales workflow, orientation for training new hires, creating and managing team schedules
  • Responsible for the productivity and actions of a sales team by orchestrating and controlling work rather than performing it directly.
  • Ensure that all accounts & routes under his supervision have the correct quantity and mix of saleable product to service their outlets on a daily basis as per the company must stock list.
  • Responsible to ensure that outlets under his supervision meet the companies ’Picture of Success’ standards.
  • Conduct a minimum of 2 visits in the market on route per sales representatives under his supervision on a monthly basis.
  • Review weekly the service levels and sales volume and wastage performance by route with each sales Rep in his team measured against the sales Rep agreed route plan.
  • Responsible for the achievement of distribution targets under his area of supervision by delivering monthly sales volume and wastage targets for his supervisory area.
  • Responsible for the investigation and control of non-compliance to company standards and policies.
  • Implementing and actualizing strategic sales & marketing plan for realization of the set target.
  • Conduct retail audits as necessary and take appropriate action to address the gaps realized in bid to meet sales target
  • Facilitate signing of supply proposals and associated contracts documents to newly acquired customers.
  • Develop relationships at store, wholesale and manufacturer level and communicate regularly to ensure the look of success is maintained.
  • Monitor sales & volume per chain/outlet to understand areas for improvement and reasons for success.
  • Ensuring consolidated sales and expense reports from KAR & supporting agency are received on time (before 8 am every Monday) and are clear reflection of work on the ground.
  • Coordinates KAR and ensures payment reconciliation and collection with support from sales manager & accounts receivables.
